Vachanagiri is a small village close to the forest area, a few kilometers away from Vadakkenchery. There are Christians and non-Christians migrated from different places and they work hard in the land here. Assisi convent was established on 27th May 1994, for the purpose of proclaiming the Good News to the people around. Four sisters are staying in the convent are fully engaged in house visiting assisiting in the liturgical and other activities of parish Church and different evangelization programme.
