Palakuzhy is a thickly populated small village in the forest area. It stands 18 Kms away from Vadakkenchery. Most of the people are Catholics. The Pentecostal sect came to this isolated area and began their work to influence the Catholic families. Recognizing this dangerous situation His Excellency Mar Joseph Irimpen, the Bishop of Palakkad Diocese encouraged us to extend our Evangelization programme to this village. Accordingly a group of 4 sisters and 2postulants stayed in the Sacristy of the Parish Church and involved in the Evangelization work among the parishioners for three months. They are convinced that a convent in Palakkuzhy is a felt need and consequently a plot was bought. New building for the Convent 'Deepthi Bhavan' was constructed and blessed on 28.05.1994. To help the poor we started a Nursary also.

Sisters are engaged in house visiting, assisting in liturgy, Catechism, and other activities of the Parish Church. The CST Fathers are working as the Parish priest here. As a result of the combined effort of the CST Fathers and the people in the locality  Government has constructed a good road to Palakkuzhy and thus the people are saved from the hardship of travelling they had suffered for a long time. Some land of the convent donated for the construction of this road.
