Mercy F.C Convent is established on 02.06.1995 in a small village Kadaiyoor in Kangayam. The people of the village are very poor, illiterate and superstitious. Women were looked down upon. They were quiet ignorant of Christianity and Jesus Christ. Hence our mission was to uplift these down-trodden people  from the clutches of the caste group. With this intension we started this convent and a Matric. School attached. Nine sisters are here and our main apostolate is education.Sisters are also engaged in Parish work, Catechism and other activities of the parish. Though there are only few Catholic families everything is being functioned as in a big parish. Our convent Chapel functions as the Church for the parishioners too. Now the sisters have extended their mission Dharapuram, a newly opened station for liturgical purposes by the Diocese.
